Too much

I starve myself of touch
Famished of affection
I carve myself as stone
until fast broken
with candied lips
Stuffing sweetness
into mouth
open wide as arms
But cloying chords
repeat on
in solitude
My saccharine verse
lacerates my throat
as I choke
on the guilt
of loving
too much
